I like the dining table and chairs, but the grey furniture is very boring and the dried flowers don't fit this space, small spaces need mirrors, and a glass coffee table (clear) would have been a better choice to create the feel of a bigger space.

Hey Lucy, what’s the color of the darker (2nd option) cabinets, I’m looking at the polytech botanical, cause I want dark but I’m not sure if it’s too dark. Also, what do you think about exposed ply edges on the cabinet fronts (drawers). I’m at a 18month standstill in my kitchen cause I have decision paralysis, our styles are quite similar so I thought I’d reach out to you ☺️ love seeing your house coming together!

The kitchen was a lost opportunity in my opinion. It should have echoed the style of that bar cabinet. Also, it needs indestructible shutters for all those windows to truly be a keep. But otherwise...wow! What a place!

Where is the refrigerator? Is there any heating other than the woodstove because the shower is two rooms away from it, how do they keep the pipes from freezing or does it never get that cold in that part of the country?

The presenter walked straight from outside with her shoes on and never even contemplated the damage a tiny stone that is stuck under her shoe could do to that expensive wood flooring, I’m a carpenter and I’ve seen what damage a very tiny stone does to any wood flooring so I’m always amazed why people don’t remove their shoes when entering someone else’s home, no respect !

I needed to see this right now as I’m having the same predicament. I love how you give the materials a personality! It actually makes a lot of sense that ‘they talk’ to each other. Thanks for your guidance and constant inspiration. BTW love Bongo

Love love love the finalised design. Definitely agree the tiles don’t work with the second design. Think the first and final design is very in keeping with your house and the vibe you are going for. X

Love the design direction you've chosen for this kitchen. It was also really helpful to hear about how you got to that decision and your thought process. Completely agree that even though the green stone is gorgeous it isn't quite right for the space- would look beautiful in a city apartment maybe! Would love if you could share your thought process (including the options that you didn't end up going with) for future projects.

Ive always loved your choices and in this case, I do prefer the one you're going with. Cant wait to see it completed. Good luck with living without a proper kitchen during the upgrade. Been there done that and hopefully never again. 😄
